July 1:
5v5 game is set for 7:00 pm at field 16B. Check list
of roster
for players scheduled to play. The roster is limited to
9 players. If your child is not able to attend let me
know so I can try to replace with a guest player.
July 1:
Collierville Soccer Association is conducting Summer
Conditioning, July 7 - 23. Time: 7:15 - 8:00 pm.
Location: Suggs Field. Every player should wear cleats,
shin guards, and bring a ball. If you child is not
scheduled to play in Thursday's 5v5 game, I highly
encourage them to attend Thursday's conditioning
session.
June 30:
Evan Hacker wanted to pass along to all teams the
purpose and spirit of the Youth Summer League. Below is
an excerpt from his email. Let me say that not all
players will be leaders. I know we have a mixture of
followers and leaders. As parents, we want the best for
our kids. I ask you limit how we coach and where we
coach. I don't fully agree the kids should have 100%
control over each game. We are using this time for each
player to continue to improve their game prior to our
Fall Season. The games need to be a stress free
environment but the kids need to know what they are
doing right and wrong. So please follow the rules below.
In regards to coaching, Coach Randy and I will be the
only ones to fully coach the kids discreetly. Encourage
your kids while they are out in the field. Again, let
them know what they are doing right.
Rules and
Clarifications:

No one other than
players are allowed on the benches. (Coaches or
parent/coaches this means you)

No coaching from the
sidelines either please allow your kids to play in a
STRESS FREE ENVIRONMENT

Players DO NOT have to
wait to enter the field. Sub whenever you want
(this includes all players and keepers) any time.

If one team is clearly
better than another they can share players (even out
the teams) or play with less, please encourage
sportsmanship and fun.

MRSC doesn’t paint
goal boxes for summer leagues so keepers are just
asked to be reasonable when picking up the ball.
Don’t pick it up at half way or all the way to the
touchline, just be reasonable.
June 12:
Practice fields have been changed to Suggs. Progress
and Powell fields are now closed for the summer.
June 12:
The roster has been posted for our 5v5 Youth League.
Due to the amount of guest players, most guest players
will play one game. If your child is not able to play on
his scheduled day, quickly inform me so I can call out
to another available player.
